Project Description

Covering an area of 60 square meters, the Deyang On-Grid PV-ESS-EV Charging System is a robust initiative utilizing 45 PV panels to generate 70kWh of renewable energy daily. The system is designed to simultaneously charge 5 parking spaces for an hour, addressing the growing demand for efficient and green electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions.

Components

This innovative system integrates four key components, offering a green, efficient, and intelligent approach to EV charging:

PV Components: The PV panels convert sunlight into electricity, serving as the primary source of renewable energy for the system.

Inverter: The inverter transforms the direct current generated by the PV panels into alternating current, supporting the charging station and grid connectivity.

EV Charging Station: The station efficiently charges electric vehicles, contributing to the expansion of clean transportation infrastructure.

Energy Storage System (ESS): The ESS employs batteries to store excess energy generated by the PV panels, ensuring a continuous power supply, even during periods of low solar generation.

How Dose It Work

During peak sunlight hours, the PV power generated by the solar panels directly fuels the EV charging station, providing clean and renewable energy for charging electric vehicles. In cases where there is insufficient solar power, the ESS seamlessly takes over to ensure uninterrupted charging capacity, thereby eliminating the need for grid power.

During off-peak hours, when there is no sunlight, the PV system rests, and the station draws power from the municipal grid. However, the ESS is still used to store any excess solar energy generated during peak hours, which can be used to charge EVs during off-peak hours. This ensures that the charging station always has a backup power supply and is ready for the next day's green energy cycle.
